The Most Common Solutions for Nasal Congestion

Breathing is just one of those processes that our body cannot do without. When you breathing is not at its optimum for one reason or the other, you are in a tiring disposition that does not allow you to do the things that you would otherwise normally do.

Congested nasal and bronchial breathing puts your lungs and heart at a tremendous amount of strain trying to get enough oxygen to your cells for all your bodily functions. This leaves you extremely tired throughout the day struggling to carry on with your daily activities.

The congested breathing is not a disturbance that will necessarily leave you alone in the night when you want to sleep at night after your tiring day in preparation for the coming day. You will hardly get any sleep thus making the day you are waiting to come up an even more difficult one than the one you have just been through as you will be more exhausted.

One of the best ways to combat this nasal congestion is with the help of nasal strips. Nasal strips are conveniently placed on the nose where they will serve to open up the nasal airways.

The nasal strips have on one of their two faces an adhesive band that firmly holds them in place on your nose. The resistance caused by the band will work to pull the nostrils wider open so that there is more space in the passageways for oxygen.

Saline nasal sprays are another form of relief that you can get from nasal congestion. There are a variety of solutions that doctors recommend for you to choose from.

The most widely used of these solutions are the nasal ones as these only moisturize the airways and are basic.

The last option that one can go for is medication with these being three in number: antihistamines, corticosteroids and topical decongestants.
